Full Circle
On 1st October 2009, Bottletop staged the first 'FullCircle’, a spectacular event at the Roundhouse in Camden.
'Full Circle’ set out to raise enough money to expand the capacity of Bottletop’s education programmes from 20,000 to over 30,000 young people in Africa, Brazil and the UK. It was an exciting evening in which the worlds of music, fashion and art will collided in support of the prevention of youth empowerment programs.
Full Circle included dinner with an exhibition of contemporary art by a host of leading artists, (which was auctioned on the night) along with a selection of unique experiences. The collection of art was also exhibited online (www.bottletop.org/auction), with a facility to take bids from the 18th September 2009.
Introduced by Mariella Frostrup and hosted by Kwame Kwe-Armah with after dinner entertainment including an intimate performance by international soul sensation Beverley Knight. Bottletop’s 'Full Circle’ exuded contemporary African, Brazilian and British culture whilst proving that there are truly inspiring things happening in the world, even in these troubled times.
